The President seemed quite gallant as he told the press that people should stop calling Susan Rice names and pushing her around and deal with him.  This is especially amusing and puzzling since it is starting to seem that she may have been sent on the rounds of the Sunday news shows with limited information in an attempt to shield the campaign from the Benghazi screw up.

 Sort of like an after school special on dealing with peer pressure, bullies and the realities of high school.

One wonders if the president is going to take the same attitude with world leaders that speak crossly with Ms RIce in her role as U.N, Ambassador or in the unlikely event that she is confirmed by the Senate for another position before President Obama’s administration ends.

She either lied to the public or was totally out of the loop on the facts of the Benghazi situation and either situation is unacceptable for the U.N. Ambassador when she spoke of the cause of the Benghazi attack and the questioning of her integrity by senior members of the Senate makes her an unacceptable candidate for Secretary of State and perhaps even for the job she now holds.

Personally I do not think that Ms Rice is any worse or any better than other members of the cabinet, but I do not think that a confirmation fight is going detract from the real priorities of the country, which are fixing the economy, dealing with entitlements and fixing the tax code and doing those things quickly.
